Widows and Widowers Just Doing Life Together: Join us on Monday, June 8th, 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM. We will have friendships, fellowships, snacks, prayers, and time for games and socializing. Our Guest Comedian will speak for about 15 minutes. We will see you at St Joseph Catholic Church in the St. Francis/St. Clare rooms and all faiths are welcome. The Columbiettes run the kitchen at the Knights of Columbus Bingo each Thursday at St. Joseph’s School Cafeteria. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in the kitchen.

The Diocese of Harrisburg recently partnered with the Steier Group to test the feasibility and potential support for a major initiative to fund several key priorities. The study was conducted from January through March 2026, and we received feedback from over 2,100 participants. The goal of the study was to gain insights from clergy, faithful donors and parishioners across the diocese. At the conclusion of the study, the Steier Group presented its findings and recommendations. As such, we will begin preparations for a major fundraising initiative this month. As we join together this week for Pentecost to give thanks to God for the gift of the Holy Spirit, we also give thanks for the seminaries our Diocese sponsors in their priestly formation and for our retired priests, who gave a lifetime of service to the Church. In the midst of the Easter Season, we are also celebrating the 30th anniversary of St. Joseph York Parish at our Kingston Road location. One centerpiece of our campus is the Emmaus wood carving in the main church. On Thursday, May 14th, at 7 PM in the St. Francis meeting room, parishioner Michael Goc will give a reflection and discussion on the Road to Emmaus: the Gospel, our daily lives, prayer, and our Church community. The event is open to the public and BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible).
“Understanding Back Pain in the 21st Century”: Saturday, May 16th, at 10 AM in the St. Francis & St. Clare Rooms. Pawel Ochalski, MD, will explore the most common causes of back pain, why they occur, and practical ways to prevent them.
