Each year, on (or near) Nov. 2nd, the Church celebrates a day of remembrance for those who have passed on to Eternal Life. Please join us for our All Souls Memorial Mass on Monday, Nov. 3rd at 7 PM. The Parish invites you to come, pray, remember, and find consolation in our community of faith.
Little Bethlehem Christian is a group that represents 200 Christian families who live in Bethlehem the Holy Land, and make their living as wood carvers. After all Masses on Oct. 25th & 26th, the group represented by the Al Sahouri family will display a collection of hand-carved olive wood religious items for sale in St. Francis & St. Clare rooms. The profit goes to support Christianity in the land of Christ. Visit their website at www.little-bethlehem.org.
Each October, the Church invites us to rediscover our missionary vocation. This year, Pope Leo XIV calls us to become Missionaries of Hope Among the Peoples,” inspired by St. Paul’s words: “Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit” (Rom 5:5). Let us journey this month with open hearts, ready to respond to the Church’s call to support the 1,124 mission territories where the Church is young, growing, and often persecuted. Together, may we be bearers of hope where it is needed most.
There is another round of scam emails going around. Emails or texts from Fr. Kyle Sahd or Fr. Andrew St.Denis asking for help with gift cards or to buy from a specific retailer are SCAMS! Neither Fr. Sahd/St.Denis nor any of the St. Joseph staff will ever ask for money by email or text. These emails often come first as generic messages and ask you to keep the correspondence confidential/secret. The email address in the "From" section often does not come from an @sjy.org email address. If you receive one of these, please do NOT respond, and report it as phishing or spam to your email server or delete. Thank you.

"Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Church calls us to pray, reflect, and act on behalf of our brothers and sisters who are compelled to leave their homelands in search of safety, peace, and hope. Their journeys are often marked by hardship, fear, and loss, yet they also bear profound witness to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring hope rooted in God's promise."
