On September 1, our Church will observe the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. This is a time when we are invited to reflect deeply on our sacred responsibility toward the Earth, the precious gift entrusted to us by our Creator. This year's theme, "Seeds of Peace and Hope," calls us to nurture a future where harmony between humanity and creation flourishes.
In response to the violence and severe humanitarian conditions in Gaza, we will take up a special collection this weekend, Aug. 30th & 31st, to support relief efforts through Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
This coming Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, we will resume our winter daily Mass schedule, which means that from Monday through Friday, we will have two daily Masses, at 6:45 AM (chapel) and 8 AM (church). On Fridays, the second daily Mass will be at 8:30 AM (school Mass in church).
Please use the MSP program to enter scheduling requests for October/November/December no later than September 1st. If you do not have email access, please contact the Parish Office with any scheduling requests.
Many families would like to ensure their children receive a religious education, but the funds are tight. If you would like to sponsor a child, place a check in the collection basket with RE Tuition in the memo line, or make a one-time payment on OSV to “Religious Education Tuition.” Thank you for your generosity.
Please join us as Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center celebrates its 2nd Annual Heart of Mercy Benefit Event on Tuesday, Sept. 30th, from 6 to 9 PM at the Country Club of York.
Put some extra cash in the pocket of any football fan with the Knights of Columbus Football Sweepstakes. With 250 total winners of $30,000 in prize money, there is room for everyone to be among the winners. Sweepstakes runs the last 10 weeks of the football season with 25 winners per week. Information packets and tickets are available in the church lobby at the Knights of Columbus billboard.
On the first Friday of each month, volunteers deliver casseroles to Our Daily Bread soup kitchen in York. The casseroles are made by parishioners who choose to help in this ministry. If you are willing and able, click here to learn more!
