The Knights of Columbus, Bishop McDevitt 4th Degree Assembly, will be hosting their 3rd Annual Cooking Competition on Friday, May 9th, at 6 PM in the St. Francis/St. Clare rooms.
May is the month where we honor Mary, mother of Jesus and our heavenly mother. This solemn procession is a Catholic tradition to honor Mary as our Queen, the perfect follower of Christ. Please join us on Sunday, May 4th, before the 9 AM Mass in the Church. First Holy Communicants, meet in the Narthex to join in the procession.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Easter Sunday finds us standing together at the empty tomb with Mary Magdalene and the other women, with Peter and John as we celebrate what our faith is all about: that God has restored the world, and each one of us, in the Resurrection of Jesus.
Pope Francis has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. Through the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land as a witness of peace, supporting Catholics there in parishes and schools, and maintaining the Christian shrines, the places where Jesus accomplished our redemption. Thank you for your generosity!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Our children are God's great gift to us. Each April, we observe National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which serves as a reminder that we must continue the ongoing work of raising awareness while also recommitting ourselves to protecting our children who are so vulnerable. At the same time, we also renew our commitment to assist survivors of abuse, especially at the hands of a clergy member, as they seek healing and peace.
Let’s look for a lonely soul (widow or widower) to invite to our next Widows and Widowers Just Doing Life Together gathering Monday, April 14th, from 12:30-2:30 PM in the St. Francis/St. Clare rooms where we will share fellowship, prayers, snacks, games, and lots of laughter together.
